Pakistan, Oct. 30 -- Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the SITE Keamari Urban Forest in District Keamari. Under a plantation campaign jointly launched by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and Al Khair Trust, a target of planting 25,000 trees has been set. The Forest Department, SITE Industrial Association, district administration and volunteers are also extending their cooperation in this initiative.

Addressing the ceremony, the Mayor Karachi said that trees are essential for human life and environmental protection.
