Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology in Lahore, calling the facility a long-standing dream for advanced and free cardiac care. She said patients from across Pakistan would be able to receive treatment at the new institute. The Punjab chief minister stressed that health remains a major public responsibility for those holding authority.

Maryam said heart disease had become increasingly common, with almost every household affected by cardiac illness. She praised Punjab's health minister and his team for working continuously to improve medical services across the province. Moreover, she said the government was providing free treatment and medicines to patients throughout Punjab.
