Pakistan, July 3 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that national unity, public safety and lasting peace remain the provincial government's foremost priorities, while emphasizing the importance of interfaith harmony and protection of minority rights across Punjab.

Addressing members of the National Peace Committee, the chief minister praised the committee's role in promoting religious harmony, tolerance and national cohesion.
