Pakistan, April 24 -- A man in Karachi was reportedly abducted and robbed of thousands of dollars in digital currency in a troubling incident near the city's airport, raising concerns over rising cyber-enabled crimes.

According to the victim's father, the incident occurred on Wednesday night when his son left home for a trip to Lahore. While travelling in an online taxi, the driver stopped at a petrol station near the airport. At that point, four armed suspects arrived in a double-cabin vehicle and forcibly took the victim into their car at gunpoint.
