Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Makkah defence pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye has emerged as an important framework for strengthening collective security. The agreement places the three countries under a shared defence structure and establishes a mutual response principle. Under the pact, an attack on one member would be treated as an attack on all three.
The agreement comes amid changing security conditions across the Middle East and South Asia, increasing the need for stronger strategic partnerships. Moreover, the arrangement seeks to improve coordination between Islamabad, Riyadh and Ankara on emerging security challenges. Their closer cooperation could also support wider efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
