Pakistan, June 26 -- The main Zuljanah procession of Youm-e-Ashura commenced from Nisar Haveli inside Mochi Gate in Lahore on Thursday night amid comprehensive security arrangements. Thousands of mourners joined the procession, which will conclude at Karbala Gamay Shah on Friday evening after passing through its traditional route across the city.

The procession is scheduled to travel through several historic locations, including Imambargah Syed Wajid Ali Shah, Mubarik Haveli, Chowk Nawab Sahib, Koocha Qazi Khana, Kashmiri Bazaar, Sunehri Mosque, Dabbi Bazaar, Gumti Bazaar, Bhaati Chowk and other designated routes before reaching its final destination at Karbala Gamay Shah.
