Pakistan, June 26 -- A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Balochistan on Friday, sending tremors across several districts. The quake was felt in Kohlu, Zhob, Barkhan, and Rakhni, alarming residents. No immediate reports of casualties or major damage were received.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale. The quake originated at a depth of 17 kilometres. Its epicentre was located about 60 kilometres northeast of Kohlu.
Residents rushed out of homes and buildings as the tremors spread across the affected areas. The earthquake was felt in Kohlu as well as neighbouring districts. Local authorities continued monitoring the situation following the seismic activity.
