Pakistan, July 7 -- The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday suspended, until the next hearing, an order of a Justice of the Peace directing the registration of an FIR against Advocate Rimsha Iqbal, the sister of actress Momina Iqbal.

Justice Abher Gul Khan heard a constitutional petition filed by Rimsha Iqbal challenging the Justice of the Peace's order. Counsel for the petitioner argued that the Justice of the Peace had directed the registration of an FIR under Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure without properly examining the facts and the applicable law. They contended that the allegations contained in the application did not disclose the commission of any cognisable offence.
