Pakistan, June 9 -- The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought a report from the Director General of Rescue 1122 regarding pollution caused by the burning of garbage near a private housing society, while hearing petitions related to smog control and environmental protection.

Justice Shahid Karim heard the petitions filed by Haroon Farooq and others. During the proceedings, a member of the Judicial Commission submitted a report on pollution caused by waste burning behind Paragon Society and informed the court that the Environment Department had made significant efforts to eliminate the illegal dumping site.
