Pakistan, Oct. 17 -- The output of Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) witnessed an increase of 1.85 percent during the first two months of the current financial year 2026-27 compared to the same months of last year, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported on Friday.

On a year-on-year basis, the LSMI's production in August 2026 increased by 0.67 percent when compared with August 2025.

On a month-on-month basis, the LSMI's production in August 2026 decreased by 4.96 percent when compared with July 2026.

The provisional quantum indices of Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) for August 2026, with the base year 2015-16, have been developed based on the latest data supplied by the source agencies.
