Pakistan, Sept. 22 -- Lahore police have ordered a comprehensive crackdown on people involved in changing IMEI numbers of stolen mobile phones. The move aims to disrupt organised phone theft networks across the city.

Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana issued the directives during a meeting focused on controlling organised theft gangs. Officials also reviewed surveillance measures for crime hotspots and strategies to improve detection of theft cases.
