Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- The threat of a shutdown of Lahore's Metro Bus service has been averted after VEDA and the Punjab Mass Transit Authority agreed to continue operations.
Punjab Mass Transit Authority General Manager Operations Uzair Shah confirmed that the service would remain operational while authorities considered VEDA's financial and other demands.
He said officials were taking the company's concerns seriously and continuing negotiations to resolve outstanding issues, ensuring that passengers would not face an immediate disruption.
Meanwhile, VEDA and the Mass Transit Authority are scheduled to hold another round of negotiations as both sides work toward resolving the company's demands through continued discussions.
