Pakistan, July 26 -- The Lahore Mass Transit Authority has ended the token and old transit card payment system for the Orange Line Train, Metro Bus, and Speedo services, introducing digital payment methods across the city's public transport network. The move aims to modernize fare collection and encourage commuters to use electronic payment options for faster and more convenient travel.
Mass Transit Authority In-charge Uzair Shah said passengers can no longer use the previous transit cards for travel. He added that any unused balance remaining on the discontinued cards will not be refunded. Instead, commuters returning their old cards will receive only the Rs130 security deposit by submitting them at the designated transit stations.
