Pakistan, Oct. 1 -- A conference on Pakistan and global peace in Lahore has adopted a unanimous resolution highlighting the country's reported role in regional and international peace efforts.

The conference was held at Governor House Lahore, with political, social and religious representatives attending the event. Participants called for greater focus on Pakistan's role in global affairs.

The resolution praised Pakistan's reported role in facilitating talks between the United States and Iran. Participants also called for continued diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and encourage both sides to return to negotiations.
