Pakistan, Aug. 8 -- Laboratory testing has found that 176 out of 491 packaged edible oil, ghee and milk samples failed national quality standards. The findings were presented by the Ministry of Planning in Islamabad.

According to the ministry, laboratories tested 491 samples of packaged cooking products and dairy items. A total of 315 samples met the required national standards. However, 176 samples failed to meet those standards. The results show that around 36 percent of tested products were substandard. The findings have raised concerns about the quality of commonly consumed food products.
