Pakistan, Sept. 28 -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday said the growing burden on existing hospitals due to limited healthcare facilities and the lack of sufficient expansion in the public health sector underscored the need for establishing more public and private hospitals across the province.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Elite Care General Hospital here in Hayatabad, the Governor formally inaugurated the facility and congratulated its management.

He appreciated investors in the private healthcare sector, saying the establishment of a new private hospital was a positive development that would improve access to quality medical services and create employment opportunities.
