Pakistan, Sept. 28 -- Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said an emergency could be imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the Constitution clearly defines the requirements for imposing emergency measures in the province.
Tarar said the Constitution provides clear provisions regarding the application of an emergency. He stressed that authorities would follow the constitutional framework in such circumstances.
The law minister said an emergency should be imposed if circumstances require such action. However, he linked any such decision to the conditions specified under the Constitution. He said those requirements must first be fulfilled.
