Pakistan, Sept. 5 -- Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has called the devolution of power "inevitable" amid growing debate over creating new provinces. He also accused the PPP of following a contradictory policy on the issue. Asif said the PPP supports a Saraiki province but opposes broader administrative changes. He claimed the party raises the Sindhudesh issue when discussions involve multiple provinces. He said the current system needs major changes because power remains heavily concentrated.
