Pakistan, July 27 -- Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif strongly rejected remarks by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday. He described the comments as provocative and irresponsible. The response underscores renewed tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

According to Khawaja Asif, Pakistan completely rejects what he called India's attempt to distort internationally recognised legal realities. He said such statements cannot change the status of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. He added they also undermine regional peace and meaningful dialogue.
