Pakistan, Sept. 12 -- Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has called for provinces based on population across Pakistan. He made the remarks while addressing an event in Karachi. Siddiqui said Pakistan should remain the only homeland for all citizens. He described provinces as administrative units rather than separate identities. He also criticised those who call demands for new provinces an act of treason. According to him, political parties now support the demand previously raised by MQM. He said his party wants administrative structures that reflect population distribution across the country.
