Pakistan, June 24 -- Karachi authorities have implemented strict security measures for the central 8th Muharram procession, with several roads, streets, and commercial areas sealed to ensure the safety of participants and maintain law and order during the religious observance.

The main procession began from Nishtar Park and is scheduled to follow its traditional route through key areas of the city before concluding at the Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar. Thousands of mourners are expected to take part in the event, prompting law enforcement agencies to deploy extensive security arrangements along the route.
