Pakistan, April 14 -- Karachi Police have devised a comprehensive security plan for the anti-polio campaign started from April 13 to 19 across the metropolis, on the directives of Additional Inspector General of Police Karachi, Javed Alam Odho.
According to a police spokesperson on Monday, a total of 7,536 police officers and personnel, including lady police officials, have been deployed to ensure the security of polio teams and workers during the campaign.
The spokesperson said that district-wise deployment includes 936 personnel in East, 930 in West, 466 in South, 536 in City, 1,210 in Keamari, 1,727 in Central, 589 in Malir, and 758 in Korangi. The Karachi Police Chief has directed all zonal officers to ensure strict monitoring of se...
