Pakistan, May 3 -- Karachi continues to experience intense hot weather as temperatures reached 38.5degC on Saturday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department. Officials warned that the heat is expected to increase further in the coming days.

The weather department forecast that the mercury may rise to 40degC on Sunday and could reach 41degC on Monday. It added that hot and dry conditions will persist across the metropolitan city during this period.

Moreover, a senior meteorological official advised citizens to take precautionary measures as heatwave conditions are likely to continue until May 3. He urged people to protect children, elderly individuals, and animals from prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
