Pakistan, Oct. 20 -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday inaugurated the first phase of Sindh's first sanitary engineered landfill project at Jam Chakro, marking a major step towards modernising Karachi's solid waste management system through scientific waste disposal, environmental protection and improved waste transportation.

The Chief Minister formally inaugurated the project by cutting a ribbon and initiating waste disposal at the site. Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, l Minister for Labour Saeed Ghani, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab and other senior officials were also present.
