Pakistan, May 16 -- A judicial magistrate on Saturday remanded alleged drug queenpin Anmol alias Pinky into police custody until May 22 in a narcotics case. The decision came after police requested physical remand for further investigation into multiple drug-related cases. The development marks a key step in an expanding probe into alleged drug networks.

Anmol was arrested earlier this week from her apartment in Karachi in connection with narcotics possession and an unlicensed weapon case. Authorities said she was already facing multiple criminal cases prior to her arrest. Moreover, investigators believe she may be linked to a wider drug distribution network.
