Pakistan, Aug. 4 -- The main Chehlum procession began in Karachi on Tuesday under heavy security arrangements. Police said the procession departed from Nishtar Park at 1pm and is moving toward Hussainia Iranian Imambargah.

Chehlum, also known as Arbaeen, marks the 40th day of mourning for Imam Husain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Shia Muslims across Pakistan observe the occasion through processions and religious gatherings.
