Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- Afghan rebel commander Jumma Khan Fateh has surrendered to the Taliban along with several of his commanders. The development marks a significant shift in the ongoing internal conflict.

According to Afghan media reports, Taliban forces took Fateh to Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province. Several commanders reportedly accompanied him after surrendering.
