Pakistan, July 30 -- Jordan's military said it intercepted and destroyed five Iranian missiles targeting the kingdom early Thursday. The attack caused no casualties, according to officials. The incident marks another escalation in the widening conflict between the United States and Iran.

Jordan's armed forces said air defence systems detected and intercepted the missiles under established defence plans. Military officials confirmed the projectiles were launched from Iran. Authorities said the operation successfully protected Jordanian territory without reported damage.
