Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Islamabad has announced that a Gaza March and public gathering will be held at Aabpara Chowk in Islamabad on October 7 to express solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Speaking at a press conference, JI Islamabad Emir Nasrullah Randhawa said the party had announced a Week of Solidarity with Gaza, with Gaza marches being organised to mark October 7.

He said October 7 was a historic day in the history of Gaza and highlighted the destruction and humanitarian crisis caused by the conflict. Randhawa said the Gaza Strip was smaller in area than Islamabad and claimed that a large majority of those killed and injured were women and children.
