Pakistan, May 30 -- The government has reduced jet fuel prices by Rs48.80 per litre, providing significant relief to airlines and the aviation sector. Following the cut, the new price of jet fuel stands at Rs283.52 per litre. The reduction could lower operating costs and increase the possibility of cheaper domestic and international airfares.
According to aviation sources, fuel expenses account for a major share of airline operating costs. The latest reduction is expected to ease financial pressure on carriers that have faced higher fuel bills in recent months. Industry observers believe the move could improve profitability and operational efficiency across the sector.
