Pakistan, May 21 -- Jeff Bezos has defended Amazon MGM Studios' reported $75 million investment in the documentary Melania, calling it a sound business decision while distancing himself from the project's approval process.

Speaking during an interview on CNBC's Squawk Box, Bezos rejected claims that former US First Lady Melania Trump personally pitched the documentary to him during a dinner at Mar-a-Lago in 2024.

"The Melania thing is a falsehood that will not die," Bezos said, adding that both he and Melania Trump's office had denied the reports. He stressed that he had no direct involvement in the decision to finance the film.
