Pakistan, Sept. 14 -- Top executives at Japanese nuclear operator Chubu Electric Power will resign following a quake data-tampering scandal. President Kingo Hayashi and Chairman Satoru Katsuno will leave their positions, the company announced Monday. The operator will also withdraw applications seeking approval to restart two reactors at its Hamaoka nuclear plant. The decisions follow growing scrutiny over inaccurate earthquake risk data submitted to regulators.
