Pakistan, Sept. 21 -- Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) was signed on September 19, 1960 at Karachi by Pakistan President Muhammad Ayub Khan and Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. According to IWT three western rivers (Indus, Jhelum and Chenab) were allotted to Pakistan with certain/limited provisions for India to use their waters. Three eastern rivers (Ravi, Beas and Sutlej) totally awarded to India. Rivers, aquifer and waste water naturally flows toward Pakistan (south and southwest direction) due to geography and slope. Moreover, sewage and rain water nullahs also flow in Pakistani Punjab from Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJK) and from Indian Punjab.
