Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- Israeli forces entered southern Syria on Monday, one day after talks aimed at reducing regional tensions. Several Israeli military vehicles moved into Maariya village in western Daraa countryside. The reported raid came amid continued tensions between Syria and Israel.

Syrian Alikhbariah TV reported the movement of Israeli forces into the village. The channel also reported an Israeli raid in Quneitra province on Sunday. Israeli forces reportedly arrested a shepherd during that operation.
