Pakistan, April 10 -- Israeli military chief Lt Gen Eyal Zamir has said the army remains in a "state of war" in southern Lebanon. He stated that Israeli forces are still actively operating in the region despite ceasefire claims. The remarks signal continued escalation on the northern front.

According to an Israeli army statement, Zamir made the comments during a visit near Bint Jbeil. He told commanders that operations in Lebanon are ongoing without a ceasefire. He also said Israel could resume operations in Iran "at any moment" with increased intensity.
