Israeli airstrikes hit southern and eastern Lebanon
Pakistan, May 25 -- Israeli airstrikes targeted several areas in southern and eastern Lebanon on Sunday despite an ongoing ceasefire, as regional tensions linked to the wider Middle East conflict continued to escalate.
According to Lebanon's health ministry, the overall death toll since the conflict intensified in March has risen to more than 3,100 people. Officials said at least two people, including a paramedic associated with Hezbollah's Islamic Health Committee, were killed in the latest strikes.
The ministry also reported that 11 people, including six women and a child, were killed in an earlier strike on the southern town of Sir al-Gharbiyeh, describing the incident as a "massacre".
