Pakistan, Sept. 20 -- Israel plans to seek additional US defence capabilities after Washington approved F-35 sales to Saudi Arabia, according to Israeli media. Israeli officials reportedly want weapons systems that the US previously declined to approve. The request would serve as compensation for the Saudi deal.

Israeli news website Walla reported that Tel Aviv plans to approach the Trump administration over the requested capabilities. The proposed package could extend beyond advanced fighter aircraft. It may also include systems designed for operations beneath the surface.
