Pakistan, June 19 -- US Vice President JD Vance has said that the agreement reached with Iran could play a significant role in promoting regional stability and peace. Speaking at a White House press briefing, he stated that the US-Iran agreement has already shown positive results, noting that more than 12 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz in a single night.

Vance said Iran has not attacked any ships so far and is complying with the provision in the memorandum that keeps the Strait of Hormuz open. He added that the 60-day implementation period outlined in the agreement officially began today.
