Pakistan, Aug. 15 -- Islamabad witnessed a colourful City Parade at D-Chowk on Friday evening as the federal capital marked Independence Day with a vibrant display of national culture, music and public festivities, 12 years after the last such parade.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi attended the event, along with Islamabad Capital Territory Chief Commissioner and Capital Development Authority Chairman Sohail Ashraf, Inspector General of Police Ali Nasir Rizvi and other senior officials.
