Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Islamabad could receive a new elected government under a proposed governance overhaul submitted to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The plan proposes a 27-member Islamabad Capital Territory Assembly. It would also create a chief executive and 27 administrative departments. The proposed system aims to provide Islamabad with greater administrative and financial autonomy. However, the federal government would retain control over key areas.
