Pakistan, May 25 -- Ishaq Dar will address the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday as Pakistan continues diplomatic efforts to mediate between the United States and Iran. The high-level debate comes amid ongoing tensions and fragile ceasefire arrangements linked to the regional conflict. Pakistan has recently intensified efforts to help secure a permanent end to hostilities.

The debate, titled "Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter and Strengthening the UN-Centered International System," will be hosted by Wang Yi. China currently holds the rotating presidency of the 15-member Security Council. Dar will remain in New York from May 26 to 28 for several diplomatic engagements.
