Pakistan, Sept. 20 -- Ishaq Dar departed Islamabad for New York to attend the high-level segment of the 81st United Nations General Assembly session. The deputy prime minister and foreign minister will join Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during the high-level week from September 21 to 25. Dar will hold a busy schedule featuring diplomatic meetings and discussions on major regional and global issues.

Dar and Prime Minister Shehbaz will attend a meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir. They will reaffirm Pakistan's support for the rights of Kashmiris during the meeting. Moreover, Dar will participate in several OIC ministerial meetings alongside other foreign ministers during the UN session.
