TEHRAN, April 17 -- Iranian speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its role in mediating the recent ceasefire in Lebanon, acknowledging Islamabad's diplomatic efforts in easing regional tensions.

In a statement shared on social media, the Iranian parliamentary speaker also thanked Pakistan's military leadership, particularly Asim Munir, for contributing to the mediation process that helped facilitate the truce.
