Pakistan, April 17 -- Iran has declared it will not withdraw from the Strait of Hormuz until its full rights are recognized. Adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei Mohsen Rezaei issued the warning during an interview with Iranian media. The statement heightens regional tensions and impacts global energy security and maritime trade.
Rezaei said the United States fears a prolonged war with Iran. He claimed Iran remains fully prepared for long-term confrontation if needed. Moreover, he stated that Iranian forces are ready to defend maritime positions in the region.
