Pakistan, Sept. 2 -- An Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps official has urged Arab states to remove US forces from their territories. General Yadollah Javani warned that Iran could strike locations used to launch attacks against it. His remarks raise fresh concerns over the presence of US military forces across the region.

Javani serves as the political deputy of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He called on Arab governments to take back control of bases hosting American forces. He said removing US personnel would be preferable to allowing those facilities to remain available.
