Pakistan, July 27 -- Iran summoned France's ambassador in Tehran over alleged interference in its internal affairs. The Iranian government lodged a strong protest against France's conduct. The move has increased diplomatic tensions between the two countries.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said the French envoy was called in over the activities of two French diplomats. According to Baqaei, Tehran urged France to stop what it described as interference under misleading pretexts.
