TEHRAN, Aug. 19 -- Iran has handed the United States a list of demands for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The development could influence ongoing efforts to reduce regional tensions.

According to CNN, Iranian Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf delivered the demands to the United States. He also called for full implementation of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding. The memorandum expired on the previous day.
