Pakistan, Aug. 9 -- Iran has ruled out direct negotiations with the United States until Washington stops what Tehran describes as violations of the June 2026 Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said direct talks are currently not taking place between the two sides. Instead, messages continue to pass through mediators as diplomatic efforts seek conditions for restarting negotiations. Tehran maintains that Washington must first meet its commitments under the interim agreement.
