Pakistan, July 3 -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said Tehran would not allow the United States to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz. He also reaffirmed Iran's commitment to expanding strategic cooperation with China during talks in Tehran. The remarks reflect Tehran's continued opposition to foreign involvement in the strategically important waterway.

Qalibaf made the statement during a meeting with the vice chairman of China's National People's Congress. He praised the growing political and economic cooperation between Iran and China.
