Pakistan, July 31 -- Iran's armed forces said the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, rejecting US claims that commercial shipping has resumed. The announcement affects global maritime trade and regional security. According to Iran, any vessel must coordinate with its naval forces.

According to Iran's state-run IRIB, the armed forces stated that passage through the strait requires coordination with Iranian naval forces. However, Iran dismissed statements from the US Central Command as inaccurate.
